computer magic

stereogum introduced me to the new bedroom project of an up-and-coming new york DJ named danielle (or danz, apparently). under the so-obvious-it’s-brilliant moniker of computer magic, she crafts dreamy yet ominous electropop that recalls au revoir simone at their propulsive peaks. she has a shit ton of free tunes available via her blog and soundcloud page, but i have two for you to sample right here. “electronic fences” was appropriately inspired by the philip k. dick novel that inspired blade runner while “teenage ballad (high school)” was born out her love for the graduate. both songs make for great twilight chillout listening.

listen below and then grab more.

computer magic – electronic fences
